What comes to mind when one says July?  Independence Day, Beach, fireworks, Hauser Estate Winery!  We have so many great events this month, as well as some great wine coming out, that soon, we will be associated with July as well!
Independence Day, July 4, is around the corner and what better way to celebrate than to have a Jack’s Hard Cider (the choice of drink for the founding fathers!) on our deck listening to Dearest Home and eating some great grilled food from Fabio Carella.  Just a sampling includes…

Grilled Portabella stuffed with tomato & mozzarella
Sausage on stick served with horseradish dip
Shrimp skewers over baby greens
Grilled Summer veggie platter
Grilled Marinate Wings Chili lime or Sesame BBQ
Tuna Steak with mango Salsa
Grilled Sicilian Steak w/ tomato salad

We continue the week of independence with Greg Pfeiffer on Thirsty Thursday.  The Skyla Burrell Band will play the blues on July 6th’s Hauser After Hours and then on Saturday’s HAH, the Revelators will play some classic rock.
With the dog days of summer setting in, we wanted to give to the animals!  Our first, Cabernet and Capuchins, is on July 8th.  We are starting the week by raising money and awareness for the East Coast Exotic Animal Rescue.  And yes, there will be a Capuchin here!

On July 11, Dancing with the Vines brings us the Salsa!  Who doesn’t want to learn to Salsa!  From 6-9pm ,bring your partner or come by yourself.  The evening will start with a welcome reception, then there will be the class and practice time where you can grab a glass of wine or hard cider!  The cost is $5/person or $8/couple.

We round out the week with our music!  On July 12,  Thirsty Thursday, Rhyne McCormick entertains us,  Hauser After Hours, July 13, Grand Point Station will play and then on July 14th’s  Hauser After Hours, Nancy and Jody will be channeling their inner Jimmy Buffet!
While there are no special events at the winery on the 15, it is still Gummi Worm Day!  A great way to celebrate would be to grab a bag of Gummi Worms and a bottle of The Sweet One.  Or even infuse the Sweet One with the Gummi worms…yum!
July 18…Trivia Night!  So here is a question! What famous “mobile” made its debut on this day?  Trivia Night is always worth a trip for the Hauser Trivia Trophy.  Teams of 6 (or less) are welcome to compete.  We have light food, great wine and cider and lively conversations. ($5/person)
The weekend, starting Thursday July 19, offers great music once again.  The Soup Band will be with us on Thursday from 6-9pm.  Friday night, Jazz Me will be singing the night away and Saturday, we have two great acts!  The Sips and Sounds Concert Series continues from 3-5 with fun folk music of the Robert Bobby Trio.  Then at 6, Hauser After Hours keeps the music going with The Willys!
The fun continues in July on the 22nd with our monthly Yappy Hour.  Bring you pup with you!  They enjoy getting out once and a while too!
Artist Anne Finucane will be presenting her colored pencil drawings from 2-4 at her artist reception.
Then at 5pm on the 22nd,  the Upstage Educational Theater will be staging a production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  What better place to watch Shakespeare’s famous comedy then among the vineyards!

We end the great month of July with Thirsty Thursday, Hauser After Hours, Sips and Sounds and Yoga on the Hill!  Whew!  Suzi Brown will take the stage on the 26.  Friday, at Hauser After Hours, the Al Parson’s band will be around.  On Saturday, Sips and Sounds from 3-5 will feature the great music of Lisa Bodnar and then Linda Coe will be belting out the songs at Hauser After Hours from 6-9!

Now to finish off the month, join us for Yoga on the Hill.  It is time to recharge and get ready for August!  See you soon!
