Jennie Wade White, Pinot Gris and Wheatfield White disappeared from our wine rack early this year. Joe and the cellar staff have been hard at work to remedy this dire situation.
Wheatfield White will be the first to make an appearance. The blend of Vidal, Riesling and Traminette, make this wine a crowd pleaser! Strong notes of citrus and tropical fruit show throughout the tasting. It reemerges just in time for the warmer months.
Next in line to return are Jennie Wade and Pinot Gris.
Pinot Gris will be a blend of two different Pinot Gris clones from our vineyard. It will be a crisp wine with floral notes. We will be bottling less this year, however, due to some damage in our vineyard last winter.
Jennie Wade is our semi-sweet favorite. This wine boasts Vidal from two different vineyards. Jennie Wade can be a little more time consuming when it comes to the blending and sweetening phase. Our challenge is to find the perfect balance that both sweet wine and dry wine drinkers can agree upon. Traditionally, the residual sugar has fallen between 2-3%, which makes Jennie a very popular wine.
