While we are closed at the tasting room, there is still lots happening. We are cleaning and organizing and counting inventory, so that on January 17, we are ready to reopen! The production area, downstairs, is whipping up more Jack’s Hard Cider and just last week, bottled 2011 Chardonnay. And lastly we are gearing up for our busy 2013 year! The entire area of Gettysburg is preparing for what could be a very busy year, as we observe the 150th anniversary of the Battle that changed the Civil War.
This year we are going to get moving and be healthy (or try!) Wine is good for you – right!? So we have planned some events to get you moving and focus on health. On January 27 and February 25 we will resume ourYoga on the Hill and begin chair massages and Intuitive Integrative Energy Healing during our Stress Free Sundays.
Dancing with the Vines returns on February 13, bring your dancing shoes! The evening starts with a welcome reception from 6-7. Then the class will begin at 7 and end at 8 . Then students are more then welcome to stay, have a glass of wine and practice! $5 a person or $8 a couple.
We keep moving with Zumba Sangria and Skinny Jeans! The last tuesday of every month join us to work on getting into those skinny jeans. Zumba may be more fun with wine! Local instructor Sarah Isenberger will have you sweatin’ your way in those skinny jeans!
The cost of the class is $5 for one hour from 6-7pm or $10 for the two hour class from 6-8p.m.
A specialty glass of wine or hard cider from Hauser Estate Winery will be available for those interested for an additional $5. Make sure to bring your water bottle, comfortable clothing and some good sneakers. For the winter and cold weather months class will be inside. Once the weather is warmer, zumba will take place outside amongst the vines on the Hauser concert stage or another knee-friendly surface (wooden deck or grassy area).
To exercise the brain…it needs a workout too! Trivia Night at Hauser Estate returns February 20. Join our Trivia hostess Dani as she tries to stump the most clever minds in the county! ($5/ person, teams of up to six!)
Now for all of you foodies who do not want to get moving we are doing our February soup month again! Warm up with a choice of two soups every Saturday and Sunday that will be paired with a Hauser Wine or Jack’s Hard Cider. Sit by the fire, drink some wine and enjoy some soup, what could be better on a cold winter’s day?

And as alway, Hauser After Hours returns on January 19 with our special Winter Luau. Every year, we return with some imagined fun in the sun. Nancy and Jody will spin the island tunes to put our cold winter moods into warm sunny ones!
The Al Parson’s band joins us at the end of the month (January 26). February 2 brings Shelley McCarthy, the Willys visit on February 9 and Wito brings the romance on the 16. Then again, Al Parson’s is back on February 23!
